ABOUT OUR MARRIAGE COUNSELORS Apostle James White
James White was born in Strong, Arkansas, the seventh of ten Children. Diane was born and raised in Oakland,
California and is the oldest of two children. They met in June 1983, was engaged in July 1983 and was married in
September of the same year. Since their union, they have two sons and 12 grandchildren. They jointly founded an
Apostolic/Prophetic church, Tree of Life Restoration Ministries and a sister para-ministry, Extending A Hand
Community Outreach Missions, Inc, from which they operate the counseling center.
James was called into the ministry in 1973 at the age of 17 years old. He served as youth president, deacon and state youth president. In
1984, he ordained as an elder in the Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ. From 1989 to 1998, he served as the Assistant Pastor for a church
in Berkeley, California. From 1998 to 2000, he was the assistant Pastor for two congregations, the one in Berkeley plus a church in San
Francisco, California. In 2001, James received his Doctorate in Theology and was ordained a Bishop in the Full Gospel World Alliance. It
was also in 2001 that he was ordained as the Senior Pastor if the congregation in Berkeley. He continued as the Senior Pastor until God
lead him to leave and start was voted in as Vice-President of Agape Christian Fellowship International and USA, an iron sharpening iron
organization that builds spiritual leaders in the United States and Foreign Countries.
